Whole Chicken

Pre-heat your conventional oven to 180 deg C/160 deg C Fan Forced. Rub either oil or butter on the outside of the poultry. Then season it with salt, pepper and rosemary. Cover loosely with foil and roast your chicken for 30 minutes per 500g. If you like lemon, slice some lemon and place it on the chicken. Remove the foil 30 minutes before serving to help brown the skin. Remove when done (use a meat thermometer to gauge doneness. Temp should be cooked to at least the guideline temperature in this recipe. Let stand for 10 minutes. Carve and serve.
