Welcome to McKays Family Butchers – A Tradition of Excellence!

Established over 50 years ago by John McKay and his son Greg, McKays Family Butchers has built a reputation for excellence in providing high-quality meats at reasonable prices to its loyal customers. In July 2022, the store changed hands and the new owners continue this legacy to serve the community.

McKays employs the finest skilled butchers and professional front-of-shop personnel to assist our customers. Old-world traditional butchery methods are used in the handling of meat, breaking down whole animals to get the best cuts for flavour and consistency. Preparation is done right in the middle of our store so customers can see the entire process.

The range of meat products on offer has been expanded and are sourced from leading producers in Australia who believe in, and practice, ethical and sustainable farming. Our range includes tasty home-made sausages, grass fed top-quality roasts and steaks, succulent lamb and free-range pork and hormone-free chicken and turkey as well as pre-made meals. Special cuts are no problem for our talented butchers and requests are always welcome.
